Dax was born in Arlington, Virginia and has been acting in plays, musicals, commercials, short and full length movies, as well as, modeling since the second grade. In addition, he has authored numerous short and several feature length scripts He attended private schools in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, private college and obtained his law degree from Michigan State University. While attending law school, he did local, national and international commercials to help pay tuition. After graduating MSU, he and three buddies loaded up their cars and drove straight through to Los Angeles to see what California had to offer. Since arriving in LA he has performed on stage, modeled, written and starred in numerous shorts and feature length films, as well as, several television episodes.As an only child, he was avid in cotillion where he thrived in dancing, and a local acting school where he played several parts in Shakespearian plays. Although his first choice is piano, Dax was first chair for saxophone in school and a local jazz group. He attended the University of Oxford, College of Corpus Christi, to study Shakespeare, which he has always been interested.In addition to the arts, Dax has always had a love for travel, adventure and the outdoors. He has traveled to Mexico, Spain, Greece and England on numerous occasions. Over the course of eight years, he obtained a second degree black belt in the martial arts. When he was 11 years old, his father began taking him on annual horseback trips to Mammoth Lakes, CA, Banff, Canada, Colorado, Montana and Wyoming. During one summer in Wyoming, Dax spent 10 hours a day in the saddle herding, branding and castrating cattle, all while sleeping every night under the stars. One year they took a break from the range and lived aboard a 65 foot sail boat in the Caribbean. Several times a day they would scuba dive or just dive overboard and snorkel in different locations of the Caribbean just to explore and cool off. On one occasion, the skipper had to make an emergency stop on the island of Bimini, which was Ernest Hemingway's home for several of his writings. Before sailing for home that summer, in a violent storm, their last dive was with several different species of sharks which were close enough to touch, and without a cage. Show less «
