Sarah is the mother of two alienated siblings Drew, the senior and the younger one is Will. Prior to her passing, she requested that Drew do the last wish for her, she needs him to assemble again with his sibling and his alcoholic dad and go to the place where they grew up together. They meet one another and they plan to begin their adventure to the place where they grew up recollecting the awful recollections there.
It's more reflective of the human experience than many of its pure-hearted brethren. However, it undercuts that authenticity by lacking strong character motivations and details that would make this story of redemption feel truer.
Rough and uneven, Generational Sins is not the sort of film that will be passed along from father to son. It is, however, an adequate vehicle for MacPherson to demonstrate what he's capable of, and that's worth watching.
