Outlander - Season 5 Episode 10: Mercy Shall Follow Me
Completing the excitement of that series that follows Calire Randall, a smart and beautiful combat nurse, who lives in harmony with her husband and prepares for having another honeymoon with him, after the Second World War, but when she has been taken back on time to the period of 1743, her life flips around, as she has to marry a Scottish warrior. In this new season, a great celebration for the wedding of Briana and Roger.
Fast-forwarding Bonnet's arc like that, and his demise, is a bold stroke for the Outlander TV team to take and I'm sure people will have thoughts. I'm all for it.
What Outlander has always done well is its depiction of dramatic moments riddled with tension, and even if you've read the books (like your faithful recapper has) and know what's coming, it doesn't make those scenes feel any less powerful or weighty.
Stephen Bonnet is back in this week's episode of Outlander! And while I don't favor his evil ways, he's a sight for sore eyes, considering his antics made for one of the most compelling episodes of the season.
Watching Claire and Brianna reminisce and connect on the beach here is touching. It's a nice break from the otherwise plot-heavy, high-stakes suspense of the episode.
