Fear the Walking Dead - Season 5 Episode 06: The Little Prince
Season 5 begins with a series of new tasks as the group faces unexpected risks in a short period of time. When the group lands in an unknown area in search, you will face more real risks in search of survivors. Morgan and Alicia are trying to meet on a mission with a new survivor as the group struggles to achieve its high goal during that period.
[The hot air balloon] is delightful. A few weeks back I wrote about how Fear is starting to own its new tone as the goofy, weird cousin to the more serious Walking Dead, and a choice like this underlines that.
The Little Prince offered some interesting developments with John and Dwight while Morgan and Alicia seem destined to get themselves in more trouble. At least the beer bottle balloon was fun while it lasted.
Fear desperately needs another speech, not between the characters, but between Robert Kirkman and the showrunners, who need to be reminded again about what makes The Walking Dead great.
From terrible character decisions to truly awful dialog, "The Little Prince" was another installment that should have been left on the cutting room floor.
Fear the Walking Dead has developed such rich and full characters that watching them is a joy. The ensemble functions well and the interactions are satisfying and fulfilling.
This is just awful TV, folks. There's no two ways about it. There's really nothing about this episode that I can find redeeming or interesting or worth watching.
