Uuuuh, I loved that show! On the long run not as gritty as some other SciFi of that time (Space - above and beyond, Firefly, Dark Angel), you clearly sense the similarity to Enterprise TNG. Why I mention this? Gene Roddenberry is the creator :D

The first season is pretty great, but the show goes through some rough re-casting and re-direction transitions over the course of its five seasons.
