SPOILER. She would rather lead soldiers, than lead her daughter, and be by her daughter. Unbelievable. You would sacrifice this first year of your child, and go into combat, when the opportunity for her to serve at home. I really don't understand why these soldiers get married anyways. They're never home with their spouses and children, and the children turn out to be angry, because their other parent goes for years to the army. I can understand serving 4 years, I really don't understand sitting there for an entire career doing that. Why marry if that is what you want to do? You want to be away from your spouse and children. I'm totally against that. It's not normal, it's not fair. It's also not fair for their spouses to be alone, it's not fair that their spouses can't have a career if they choose to have one, it's not fair that their spouses come first before their needs. Family spiritually ALWAYS comes first. Because when we die one day, we're going to be asked where were we when our family needed us? No war is sanctioned by Our Almighty One. Family is the holiest and the most amazing thing a person can achieve in life. Marriage is one of the holiest of holiest ordinances. No wonder there's so much cheating happening in the army, navy, churches, because of this sillyness. I was so looking forward of having Colonel Burton stay around to raise her daughter, and also see a woman first of all, and then a woman of color in the tv series be of a higher rank. But, hey the script preferred to send her off to war, because there's a greater reward for her to lead her men, than to be a mother to her child.
