Taron Lexton is a South African writer, director, cinematographer and producer known for his unique visual aesthetic and the highly-emotional impact of his work.At age 19 he became the youngest person to graduate the Los Angeles Film School. Shortly after graduating, he directed and produced the Human Rights advocacy short film "United", winner of the New York Independent Film Festival and 2006 Academy Awards qualifier.In 2007 Taron directed the short film "Struck" with official selection in over 50 festivals including the Cannes Online Film Festival, screening out of competition at the prestigious 2008 Cannes Film Festival and winner of over 15 Awards.Taron's recent work was on the feature film "The Squeeze", directed by Mr. Terry Jastrow, where he served as the Director of Photography. TXL Films did most of the visual effects, editing and post-production for the film.Now with over 15 years of experience behind the camera, Taron has directed over 300 award-winning commercials, short films, documentaries and music videos. His work has aired to over 1 billion people worldwide on major television networks including MTV, FOX, CNN, Sky TV, Nickelodeon and Disney Channel.His extensive career has earned him numerous awards from renowned festivals and international awards competitions, including over twenty Telly Awards for his national commercials, a Platinum Aurora "Best of Show" award, a Gold Aurora award, an "Everyday Freedom Hero" award, an Awareness Award and the highly prestigious "Award of Excellence" from the United Nations for his Human Rights campaigns and humanitarian work.Taron recently completed directing and producing the original feature film "In Search of Fellini" and is in development on several other short films, features films and commercial projects.
