In Chicago, there are more dirty policies that stand in the way of everyone. To counter these dirty policies and corrupt issues, Attorney Jessica Pearson begins her search for criminal justice in Chicago. Over time, Jessica finds herself adapting to the dirty world of politics in Chicago and faces many conflicts to overcome that stage.
For fans of Suits, the change in tone that comes with Pearson will no doubt be jarring, but it offers a more substantial role for [Gina] Torres in a more fleshed-out version of Jessica.
The weird obsessions that made Suits wildly more entertaining than your standard legal drama have all disappeared. Instead, there's an endless parade of political soap opera.
Overall, the stakes are higher on Pearson than they ever were on Suits, but, ironically, the series is still much more of a slow burn than the flagship show.
