The movie follows a young woman who starts a new life in a small Maine town after being released from prison. She is taken in by Hannah, to help out at her place, the Spitfire Grill, eventually winning its owner's trust. But others remain suspicious of her, and soon some missing money leads to tragic consequences.
Original in some ways but the same old plate of fried green tomatoes in others, this Sundance Festival favorite might rate wider acclaim for its two leads if the overall tone weren't so bloodless and even dreary.

Movie Eye
Methodical and lyrical in its well-paced movement. A durable and devoted drama that is so unassuming in its execution
