In a comedy and dramatic atmosphere, this film takes after four youthful in their 22-year-olds who coordinate to go together on a holiday. They get an extravagance RV and start their excursion. Amid this, every one of them communicates his own wants and they live such a delightful time together.
The scenery's pleasant and the actors are mostly likable. If "Baja" had been made in the '60s, it would have some kitsch appeal. It's easy watching, for anyone who needs a little mind-vacation.
Baja doesn't have the most original plot nor an overarching style. But the characters are really likable, the actors' chemistry is off the charts, and the cordial ambiance invites the viewer to lay back and have a good time.
Vidal doesn't sufficiently mine the buddy dynamic. He's more interested in the romantic side of things, which would have been fine if his female characters weren't so boring and one-dimensional.
