Frenzy is one Decepticon who definately lives up to his name.Frenzy made his first appearance in the original Transformers animated series, in the episode Transformers: Countdown to Extinction (#1.12). He was originally one of Soundwave's minions, who's alternate mode was that of a cassette tape. He was voiced by Frank Welker.Frenzy was also one of the eight Decepticons featured in Michael Bay's 2007 live action feature film Transformers. He transforms into a GPX Boombox, and a mobile phone in the movie. His role of the spy for the Decepticons, was originally meant for Soundwave. In fact, the original idea was that his character in the movie was actually meant to be named Soundwave. But the writers felt that the character had evolved to far from being Soundwave, and finally named him Frenzy, one of Soundwave's minion's. Although his small size in the movie (barely four feet tall) makes him somewhat useless in battle against the Autobots. Frenzy actually proves to become the most useful of all the Decepticons in the film. As he manages to locate the All Spark, alert the the other Decepticons to it's location, and free Megatron. (And managing to kill at least three secret service agents in the process.) Throughout the film he mostly chatters in Cybertronian. However a few choice English words can be heard. ( Oh shit! , Megatron melting! , Megatron! Megatron!
