Luis 'Perla' has been doing choruses and second voices for his rapper friend, Darmo, since 2007. Lucho is how Luis is known in his private life and what his family and friends call him. Perla's debut performance in Darmo's "Mantenlo Ilegal" video-clip is what brought him the opportunity to start an acting career. After seeing the video-clip, the producers of Antena3 TV series "Los protegidos", gave him the opportunity to audition. And 'Culebra' was born. A young man raised in orphanages and children shelters. At present, he is recording the series's third season which will soon be aired on Antena 3. 'Culebra' made Luis so popular that soon the first offers for roles in feature films started coming his way. His first role in a feature film was in Tres metros sobre el cielo (2010), where he worked alongside Mario Casas and María Valverde in what became the Spanish film with the highest attendance in 2010. His second film, Paranormal Xperience 3D (2011), directed by Sergi Vizcaino and produced by Rodar y Rodar, will be released late December 2011. Lucho plays a main role alongside Amaia Salamanca, Maxi Iglesias and Úrsula Corberó, among others. In the fall of 2011, Lucho will be part of the main cast for "Tengo ganas de ti" (the sequel to Tres metros sobre el cielo (2010). In the sequel begin two years after the last events in the first film. Lucho received the Best Upcoming Actor recognition at the last edition of the "Must Awards", he collaborates with the brand AXE as a member of the Seducing Experts' Committee and is actively involved in various solidarity campaigns.
