Born in Fort Hood, Texas, Lassiter has had three careers as an aspiring professional athlete, attorney and now as an actor. A native Houstonian, Lassiter graduated from Strake Jesuit High School, Southern Methodist University B.A. History, and The University of Tulsa School of Law, JD. In 1981 Lassiter was recruited out of high school by Ron Myer to play tight end for SMU. He then began working in the legal field in 1984 and after obtaining his law degree he practiced for ten years as a trial and appellate attorney in South Texas. After landing in some legal hot water, Lassiter was disbarred and served a sentence for a white-collar crime. Upon returning to the Rio Grande Valley, he continued to write appeals as a legal assistant and began training contestants for Miss Texas USA. Most notably Danielle Doty who won the Best Teen Swimsuit Award and was crowned Miss Texas Teen 2010. During this period, Lassiter was encouraged to audition for some local roles and was cast as an extra in "Jacob" (2011). While on set Director Larry Wade Carrell liked what he saw and cast Lassiter as Leroy resulting in one of Larry's favorite scenes in the movie. Lassiter went on to film over a dozen roles in 2011 and perform in several plays including Atticus Finch in Harper Lee's To Kill A Mockingbird before sold out crowds. In the Summer of 2011, Lassiter was cast as Father Diekmen in "The Cloth" (2013) by Director Justin Price in which Lassiter plays opposite Eric Roberts. Show less «
